Overview

Athanasia is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens, where she obtained her LL.B. She joined Kelemenis & Co in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a legal advisor at ATHENS OLYMPIC BROADCASTING S.A., the company responsible for the broadcasting coverage of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

Athanasia has extensive experience in dispute resolution, having handled a large number of cases involving complex legal issues. She regularly represents companies and private individuals before the civil and administrative courts at all stages of the proceedings. Her experience extends to a broad range of commercial law matters and includes, among others, disputes arising from commercial contracts, corporate disputes, matters relating to commercial agency and distribution, commercial leases, damages claims, as well as employment disputes. She also has significant experience in cases involving transport law – including road, maritime, air and rail transport – as well as unfair competition matters and disputes relating to private insurance law.

As part of her litigation practice, she has handled numerous enforcement proceedings, particularly claims and defence strategies in the context of enforcement procedures, including electronic auctions, payment orders and orders for the restitution of leased premises, providing support throughout all stages of the process. In the field of civil law, she has been involved in a wide range of compensation-related cases, including medical liability cases, claims for infringement of personality rights and tort claims. Athanasia also handles specialised matters of inheritance law and has extensive experience in real estate transactions. In this context, she advises and represents individuals and businesses in legal due diligence assignments, the drafting and negotiation of sale and purchase agreements, as well as in matters covering the full spectrum of real estate law. In addition, she provides advisory services to a wide range of companies on day-to-day corporate matters, including the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, out-of-court dispute resolution, as well as disputes relating to consumer law and personal data protection. Finally, she handles administrative law cases concerning the civil liability of the Greek State for unlawful acts or omissions of its authorities.

In her thirty years of practice, Athanasia has represented numerous Greek and international clients, including Alstom, BDO, Chevron, Stryker, Baumit, Valagro, AEPI (Hellenic Society for the Protection of Intellectual Property), Cretan Mill, Kostas Papaellinas S.A., Ergokat S.A., ABH Medical Group, Intercars, Lamda Star and Lamda Central.
