The finance team at Kelemenis & Co has been active on project finance matters in the energy sector in the last 12 months. On the banking side a team led by Yannis Kelemenis acted for Alpha Bank as lead arranger on a syndicate bond loan of €95 million used for refinancing purposes. In the capital markets Kelemenis acted for Arch Insurance Company on a surety bond issue in Greece and Cyprus.
In M&A, Kelemenis acted for AGC Equity Partners on the acquisition of the Astir Palace Hotel, advised Chevron and Petrolina on the sale of their Greek aviation fuels business, and acted for the FTI Group on the acquisition of a stake in a Greek tour operator. The firm moved into the rankings that year.
In restructuring matters, the firm advised Colliers on the restructuring of its Greek subsidiary, including its liquidation. Kelemenis also advised Kleva Pharmaceuticals on a restructuring designed to separate local and international activities.
