The finance team at Kelemenis & Co has been active on project finance matters in the energy sector in the last 12 months. Ioanna Lazaridou acted for China Development Bank on three separate photovoltaic financings.
On the banking side a team led by Yannis Kelemenis acted for Alpha Bank as lead arranger on a syndicate bond loan of €95 million used for refinancing purposes. In the capital markets Kelemenis acted for Arch Insurance Company on a surety bond issue in Greece and Cyprus.
In M&A, Kelemenis acted for AGC Equity Partners on the acquisition of the Astir Palace Hotel; Tom Kyriakopoulos advised Chevron and Petrolina on the sale of its Greek aviation fuels business; and Lazaridou advised the FTI Group on the acquisition of a stake in a Greek tour operator. The firm moves into the rankings this year.
In restructuring matters Kyriakopoulos advised Colliers on the restructuring of its Greek subsidiary including the liquidation. Kelemenis and Kyriakopoulos also advised Kleva Pharmaceuticals on a restructuring designed to split local and international activities.
